SX Kinetics, Inc. has recently been awarded the following contracts:

Stainless Steel SX Plant: SX Kinetics developed a new solvent extraction pilot plant for operation at elevated temperature. The plant was designed for operation up to 150 °C, well above the flash point of the organic phase. A low pressure nitrogen gas system was incorporated into the design to permit a low flow of nitrogen over the vapour space in all mixers, settlers, over flow weirs, and feed tanks.

The plant included 6 mixer-settlers that can be configured for any number of extraction stages.

Solvent Extraction and Electrowinning Pilot Plant: SX Kinetics was awarded a contract to design and manufacture this SX / EW pilot plant for Iran Mineral Processing Research Center. The solvent extraction plant included 10 stages of mixer-settlers that can be configured for any number of extraction, scrubbing, and stripping stages with either organic or aqueous recycle. The electrowinning plant included 8 cathodes and 9 anodes coupled to a 1000 amp rectifier.

Leach / SX/ EW Pilot Plant: This leaching / solvent extraction / electrowinning pilot plant was designed and manufactured by SX Kinetics for a research and development test program on various metals including copper, cobalt, nickel and zinc.

SX / EW Pilot Plant: SX Kinetics was awarded a contract for the design and construction of this SX / EW pilot plant for a copper project in Mongolia. The pilot plant included six stages of mixer settlers and an electrowinning cell coupled to a 0 to 50 amp and 0 to 10 volt rectifier.
