We design and manufacture pilot plant equipment for hydrometallurgical test programs to included: solvent extraction circuits, electrowinning cells with anodes, cathodes and rectifiers, leach tanks, CCD circuits, thickeners, clarifiers, agitation tanks, reactors, precipitation circuits, filtration units, crud treatment systems, and laboratory leaching, SX, EW pilot plants.

 

We Provide Hydrometallurgical Pilot Plant Equipment to Include:

  • Solvent extraction plants (see links at bottom of page)

  • Continuous and batch agitation leaching circuits

  • Heap leaching columns and larger test cribs

  • Counter-current decantation (CCD) circuits

  • Precipitation and product recovery circuits

  • Thickeners, clarifiers, and filtration equipment

  • Electrowinning circuits complete with anodes, cathodes, and rectifier

Counter-Current Decantation Circuits:


SX Kinetics designed, manufactured, and installed this pilot scale CCD circuit. The circuit was mounted on a skid with individual level adjustment.

 

The circuit included 316 SS rakes, in-line helical drives, feed wells, launders, overflow weirs, and variable speed underflow pumps with VFD's.

Thickeners and Clarifiers:


SX Kinetics designs and manufactures thickeners, clarifiers, and CCD circuits for pilot plant projects. Our pilot plant thickeners are available in 56 cm, 76 cm, 107 cm, and 135 cm diameters (22", 30",  42", and 53").

 

The thickeners come complete with stainless steel rakes, in-line helical drives, feed wells with launders (or pre-mix tanks), overflow weirs, and underflow pumps.

Precipitation Circuits:


SX Kinetics designs and manufactures precipitation circuits for pilot plant projects using baffled polyethylene tanks with variable speed in-line helical mixer motors coupled to efficient hydrofoil impellers. 

 

The circuit can include temperature and pH control. Our tanks are available in 25 to 2080 L capacity (7 to 550 US gallons).

Feed and Reagent Tanks:


SX Kinetics designed, manufactured, and installed these feed and reagent tanks for a pilot plant project. Float valves, calibration tubes, and tank stands were provided. Level transmitters or indicators can be provided.

 

Our tanks are available in 25 to 2080 L capacity (7 to 550 US gallons)

Feed and Filtration Unit:


SX Kinetics designed and manufactured this SX feed and filtration unit for a proto-type solvent extraction plant.

 

The system included a float valve (in order to maintain constant level in the tank, a 100 kW immersion heater, calibration tube, feed pump, and a duplex filtration unit with manifold piping, valves, and gauges.

     
 

Anodes and copper hanger bars for an electrowinning pilot plant.

Pb-Ca-Sn Anodes:

SX Kinetics manufactured and assemble 60 anodes for a copper electrowinning pilot plant.

 

The anodes were manufactured from rolled lead alloy containing calcium, tin, and aluminium.

     
 

Crud treatment tanks for a solvent extraction pilot plant process.

Crud Treatment Circuit:

SX Kinetics designed and manufactured a crud treatment circuit for treatment of crud from a copper solvent extraction process.

 

The circuit included a crud treatment tank with immersion heaters, pre-coat make-up tank, pumps, filter press, and a filtrate receiver tank.

     
 

Conductivity indicator probes for determination of phase continuity or position of interface in a solvent extraction process.

Conductivity Indicator:

SX Kinetics manufactures these Conductivity Indicators, that are used to determine the phase continuity in the mixers, the position of the interface in the settlers, or to determine the accumulation of an aqueous phase in the bottom of an organic tank.

 

The Conductivity Indicator can be graduated in either inches or centimeters for direct measurement of the depth of organic phase.

SX Kinetics designed and manufactured this semi-conical bottom polypropylene tank with baffles and tank cover for a silver refinery.
