We provide mini solvent extraction pilot plants for laboratory and bench scale solvent extraction test programs. The following summarizes our laboratory scale solvent extraction pilot plants that we recently manufactured for various clients:

 

Our Laboratory Solvent Extraction Pilot Plant Features:

  • Completely assembled pilot plant with borosilicate glass mixer-settlers by SX Kinetics

  • Adjustable borosilicate aqueous over-flow weirs for interface level control

  • Variable speed and constant torque mixers, 100 to 240 volts, 50 or 60 Hz

  • SX impellers manufactured from either polypropylene, PVC , or stainless steel

  • Slide-on tubing adaptors for connection of flexible tubing to borosilicate glass tubing

  • Configure for any circuit design including aqueous or organic recycle with flow control valves

  • Galvanize metal support frame with adsorption clamps for borosilicate glass vessels

  • Complete with all accessory fittings, tubing, and operating manual

SX Kinetics designed and manufactured this laboratory pilot plant that included a continuous leach circuit and a solvent extraction circuit coupled to electrowinning. The laboratory pilot plant included:

 

4 stages of continuous leaching

14 stages of mixer-settlers in the SX circuit

EW pilot plant with 4 cathodes and 5 anodes.

This laboratory solvent extraction pilot plant was shipped pre -assembled to a research centre in Iran for copper solvent extraction. The solvent extraction pilot plant included 10 mixer-settlers that can be configured for various numbers of extraction, scrubbing, and stripping stages. The plant included metering pumps and an organic reservoir.

This laboratory solvent extraction pilot plant was shipped pre -assembled to a cobalt refinery in Finland for a cobalt solvent extraction. The solvent extraction pilot plant included 15 mixer-settlers that can be configured for various numbers of extraction, scrubbing, and stripping stages. The plant included metering pumps and 15 immersion heaters.

This laboratory solvent extraction pilot plant featured flanged mixer-settlers with flanged covers in order to provide an air tight seal for use with a solvent at a low flash point. The settlers and organic vessel featured glass jackets for circulation of hot water for operation at elevated temperatures. The pilot plant was used to evaluate the extraction of impurities from phosphoric acid.
