We design and manufacture solvent extraction pilot plants for a wide variety of applications. The following summarizes our full scale solvent extraction pilot plants that we recently manufactured for production of various metals:

 

Our "Turn-key" Full Scale Solvent Extraction Plants Include:

  • Mixer-Settlers with sealed covers and ventilation header

  • Efficient SX impellers coupled to in-line gear motors

  • Structural support mezzanine with stairs and handrail

  • SX feed polishing filter unit (required to minimize crud)

  • Crud treatment system with recovery of organic phase

  • Feed tanks with level control for SX feed, scrub, & strip

  • Aqueous transfer tanks with organic recovery

  • Organic surge tank with aqueous entrainment recovery

  • Feed pumps with VFD's and calibration tubes

  • Transfer pumps controlled by level switches

  • Organic and aqueous recycle with flow indication

  • Piping, fittings, valves, and process control components

  • Technical consulting during on-site assembly & start-up

SX Kinetics provided the design of the mixer-settlers and supervised the installation of this solvent extraction plant for the recovery of cobalt.

 

Technical consulting was also provided for plant start-up, training of operators, and preparation of operating procedures.
